1. “I don’t think my colleagues are musical at all. Do we need any musical experience?”

No musical experience is needed at all for this activity. This has worked well for everyone, regardless of whether they are total beginners, not-so-good musicians, good musicians. This program has been running for about 700 sessions. Every group emerged a successful BANDINC, regardless of everyone’s individual or combined musical background or experience.

 

2. “Which is the easiest instrument?”

All instrument parts are made simple and effective. No instrument part is difficult.  

 

3. “Can you guarantee that everyone in my team will have fun and be engaged?”

100%. There will be no boredom. Everyone will find this program engaging and will not be bored at any point in time. In fact, you might the crazy side of your colleagues you never knew. 5. “Is your program tried and tested?”

Yes we have conducted over 700 corporate team building events for 20,000 participants from 300 companies, for schools, government agencies in Singapore, Hong Kong and Indonesia.

We have conducted this program for 5-350pax. We will customise our program and band setup exactly to the size of your team.

 

9. “What is the duration of your program?”

Normally 3hrs Program. However we are able to adapt it for shorter duration.

 

 

10. “Which are the best places if we want to use our own venues?”

11. “How do we estimate space capacity?”

A maximum seating of 50pax allows for 25pax with instruments

 

12. “What are the instruments covered?”

Vocals. Drums. Bass. Keyboards. Guitars. Ukuleles. Percussions

 

 

13. “What do we need to prepare before the event day?”

  • 50% deposit to transfer to Team Music account generally required to handle all venue and equipment bookings
  • Confirmation of 2 song choices
  • This is entirely optional. Partcipants may come in ROCK attire 🙂 Bright clothes would be great as for better music videos

 

14. “Is Food & Beverage allowed in the studio?”

We can only allow for food and beverage at designated area.

 

15. “Who and How many facilitators will be present?”

They are musicians specially trained on all instruments. Our Lead Facilitators are known to be especially effective, fun and patient.

About 1:5-10 facilitator-participants ratio depending on the size of the group

We have our own long list of tried and test songs. However, yes, we are open to re-arranging your songs for your corporate band

20. Can we incorporate this as part of our Corporate Dinner and Dance?

Yes, we definitely can use BANDINC for Corporate events. It’s a great complement to your Corporate Dinner and Dance. It takes your corporate celebration to a whole new refreshing level, away from the usual D&D stuff and activities.

 

21. Is BANDINC only conducted in Singapore?

We have started operations in Hong Kong, Indonesia, Malaysia, Japan. We can incorporate local songs for our international teams.

Music, One of the Best Tools for Team Building & Team Bonding

Searching for the next corporate team building activity for your team of colleagues? Already tried your hand at all the run-of-the-mill activities out there? Already bruised (or been bruised by) your colleagues with a few hundred paintballs? Or have you memorised the entire history of that colleague’s love life after being stuck next to him during that loooong arduous hiking trip?

Here’s a big suggestion for you: MUSIC!

Music team-building activities are very holistic, encompassing many aspects of what a team-building activity should deliver. Here are some characteristics of music as a tool for team-building, some more obvious, some less.

 

 

1) Painless Way to Reinforce Agility

Ok, as we already know, there ARE many teambuilding activities out there which actually cause PHYSICAL pain…… but we’re not going there. The keyword here is AGILITY in your team. This could take up another entire article, but in a nutshell, agility is your team’s ability (it rhymes!) to adapt to new situations, and perform WELL under changing circumstances, while working together towards a common goal. The process of developing this ability involves every individual’s response to change and, yes, it can be painful. Making music as a teambuilding activity ticks all the boxes in agility-development: it’s a brand new activity for the vast majority of individuals, it involves a common goal which can only be achieved as a team, and it involves individuals’ responses to change in a dynamic manner. The main difference: music makes the process PAINLESS. The effect that music has on people is both energising and uplifting. Moreover, in a group setting, music has an ability to draw people together which few other tools possess.

Who doesn’t enjoy a time of letting their hair down and making “noise” together? The very nature of music makes for a fun and stress-free activity. No need to crack your brains to solve puzzles to escape from a dungeon, no physical stress for those who “aren’t exactly the sporty-type” After all, the whole idea of team-building day is for everyone to RELAX right? Music is one activity that EVERYONE can engage in, regardless of brains or brawn.

 

3) Satisfy Childhood Dreams and Aspirations

Yup. We can see you smiling at this one. For those have jumped on the bed playing an air guitar to sound of their favourite bands on the radio, this one’s definitely for you. There are many similarities between a corporate team and a rock band or orchestra, and many experts around the world – such as Ruth Blatt of The Rock Band Project – have used this model to inspire teamwork development in corporate organisations. The fundamental principle is simple – every corporate organisation consists of different parts, with unique functions, performing unique roles, but achieving a COMMON GOAL. A band functions based on the exact same principle. As your staff members try their hand at all the different instruments, besides just having fun, they get the feeling of what it means to be performing unique roles in tandem with other team members to produce something excellent. Also, especially when no one is a proficient musician, the playing field is level and everyone get to work together on something NEW, just like when your team encounters a new project in the workplace.
